New Features
- New traits added for Lords. Which traits are active will depend on whether the game
is in Classic mode or not.
- Game options page, where landscape and map appearance can be set.
- New LOM Colour graphics by Richard Neville (Lunagh).
- Public scores option: after day 5, game statistics will be displayed for all players.
- Optional First Blood victory condition added.
- Initial player placement: The quadrants option has been modified and expanded depending
on scenario and number of players.
- Optional Lord relationships added. These will affect recruitment, and fierceness of battles.
- Rumours added as an option.
- Weather, in the form of wind and mists, added as an option. This will affect travel and navigation.
- Scores button added to check on the player's current score.
- Additional graphics adding variety to new scenarios.
- The vassals page has been redesigned to accommodate the new features. Except for Classic
games it now shows traits as a new tab.
- Relationships are also shown in the Vassals page if the option is selected.
- Except for Classic mode, lords now get randomised traits unless pre-defined by the scenario author.
- New scroll types added which affect some of the new traits.
- Two new scenarios added: The Rift, by Tigon, and The Foul Return, by Idaho.
Changes
- Exact scores replaced by relative text description indicating how a player is doing.
- Riders no longer receive movement bonus in forests, and get a penalty in mountains.
- Sites that have already been searched have a small chance of regenerating something.
- Outlaws are renamed as Mercenaries. They are now able to hire soldiers in citadels of their own race.
- Special abilities, such as sneaking, healing, dragon riding and poisoning are no longer limited
to specific races and are trait dependent instead.
- Except in Classic mode, the Leadership trait will affect how many troops each lord can lead.
- Advanced recruitment system changed, so that the time taken is no longer fully predictable.
- Sun's End can now be played in Advanced mode to get used to the traits system.
- The Lost City has been overhauled, to take full advantage of the new features.
- Home page redesigned to incorporate a random screenshot and the login section.
